Who We Are
Chautauqua Natural Foods is a natural grocery store located on the Redwood Coast of California in the beautiful town of Garberville, California. Since opening our doors in 1982, we've been proud to nourish the health and wellness of our community with high-quality organic foods, natural wellness products and sustainable options for every household.
As a family-owned business and the only natural food store in Southern Humboldt, we're committed to building long lasting relationships with our customers and supporting local farmers, artisans and suppliers who share our values of sustainability and care for the environment.
How do you pronounce our name?
Chautauqua = Shuh-Taa-Kwuh. :)

Since 1982 Chautauqua has been committed to bringing our customers food that not only supports their personal health but also the well-being of the planet. We screen our products in every dept. for GMO ingredients. In 2013, Organic Consumer's Association selected us as one the top ten retailers of the NW region, for our commitment to non GMO foods.
Our foods are free of RBST's, transfats, hydrogenated oils, metabisulphites, and high fructose corn syrup. We're proud to focus on local and carry products from many local vendors.
